Kelly Wessels has dedicated her career to addressing social determinants of health, focusing on anti-poverty efforts, access to care, health equity, and justice. With extensive experience in human services and health care, she has collaborated across governmental, non-profit, and multi-county sectors, receiving accolades for her work with houseless and marginalized communities. Before leading CAPNC/Healthcare for the Homeless, Kelly served as Chief Operations Officer for a multi-county CAA in the Pacific Northwest, designing service delivery platforms and managing public-private partnerships. She also spent over a decade in hospital health care as a non-acute care division manager. Kelly completed the National Leadership Academy of Public Health, serving on several state public health advisory groups. She is a certified trainer in Diversity Equity & Inclusion, Conflict Resolution, Trauma-Informed Care, ACEs techniques, and Suicide Prevention/Intervention. Kelly holds a B.S. in Education, Training & Development from SIU-C and a Certification in Mediation from Southern Oregon University. She serves on the boards of the Wyoming Primary Care Association and CSNOW and is a leader in the Natrona County Safety & Justice consortia.
